Episode 3: "Red Alert!"

Desmond's shocking decision to quit the competition at the initial weigh-in, has left the Red Team with a man down. Already targeted as the underdogs, the low morale of the team is further aggravated by Del's elbow injury. Del had initially injured his arm in the Manila Typhoon just before the competition began, but his determination to lose weight forced him to work through all the pain.

In training, the trainer for the Red team, Kristy, is disappointed to find out that Desmond has quit. She tries to motivate her team members, but loses her cool when she sees that they have no energy and aren't making any effort. The Blue team on the other hand, are gelling very well. Dave, their trainer, has no complaints with the hard work his team is putting in. He even found a way to mould his training program to fit Damietta's ankle injury, allowing her to train at the same pace with as the others. Meanwhile, Del can no longer ignore the pain in his elbow, and decides to go to Prince Court Medical Centre to have it properly checked up. The doctor confirms that Del's worst nightmare has come true, his elbow is dislocated and it may require surgery.

Del returns from the hospital to inform the others that he must have surgery the next day, forcing him to leave the competition as well. Kristy and the red team are devastated by the news. Having realized they are now down by two men, the morale of the red team hits rock bottom. The next morning, still trying to cope with the bad news, Kristy surprises them with a new team member. To replace Del, she decides to bring back Carlo, a member of the original 30 contestants, who has packed his bags a week prior. The Red Team is delighted to have Carlo join their team, since they knew he is a fierce competitor. Still, at the first team challenge, the contestants are shocked when they find out they have to climb up 150 steps to the top of a water tower. After the challenge begins, Aisha's stunning performance gave the Reds an early lead. However, to their dismay, Nadia could not keep up with the pace and forfeits the lead to the blues. The Blue team goes on to win the challenge and are rewarded with a day relaxing at "A Famosa's Water World". The Red Team heads straight into training and informs Kristy that they had lost. Their disappointment soon turns into worry when they realize that Kevin is not feeling well. Kristy discovers that Kevin had not eaten enough food in proportion to the amount of physical activity he endured that day. Kevin's condition worsens after training, and the contestants are sent into a frenzy after they realize that he is unresponsive. The paramedics determine that Kevin is hypoglycaemic and rushes him to the hospital.

The next morning, Kevin makes a heroic return to the villa. While relieved to see that he is looking and feeling a lot better, Kristy still gives Kevin a big lecture. She informs him that he must to take responsibility for himself, because in the outside world, she won't be there to make sure he's eating properly. Kevin then delights his teammates, when he informs them he can go straight back to training. In preparation for their first official weigh-in, the contestants push themselves to their limit at the last chance workout. No one has any idea as to how much weight they'd lose. At the first weigh-in, the Blue Team chose to sit out The Goddess, because she is the smallest on their team. But they soon realize they made a mistake, when they discover that Damietta had in fact lost less weight than The Goddess. In the end, the Red Team are confident with a 6 kilo lead, with just one contestant remaining on the Blue Team to be weighed in.

Hafiz is the last contestant to be weighed in. He needs to lose more than 6 kilos, in order to win it for the Blue Team. With all the pressure mounting on his shoulders, everyone is holding their breath as Hafiz steps onto the scale. When his final weight is revealed, he has lost a whopping 14 kilos, a "Biggest Loser" one-week record, to give the Blue Team a landslide victory. Hafiz is also crowned the Biggest Loser of the Week for his incredible weight loss. Having lost the weigh-in by 8 kilos, the Red Team are the first team to face elimination. They have to quickly decide which team member has been weighing them down. The Red Team holds a meeting back at their villa, where they deliberate on who should stay, and who should go. Most of them have a very difficult time coping with this heartbreaking task. While there is much speculation about a Filipino Alliance within the red team, Carlo tries to convince Kevin that they do not need Christine's vote to follow their game plan. Being roommates, Christine and Aisha have a mutual understanding that they will not vote for each other. Nadia is led to believe that her teammates had planned to vote out Rashmi, allowing Nadia to feel safe.

At the first elimination, the Red Team see that Desmond's fridge light has been turned off, due to no longer being a part of the competition. Which of them will be next? As the votes are revealed, Aisha is shocked to see that everyone has unanimously voted for her, except for Christine. With 4 votes to her name, Aisha is the first member of the competition to be officially eliminated. While her 7-kilo weight loss is a big achievement, the Red Team feels Aisha is not working hard enough in the gym, and has agreed that she is weighing the team down. With 14 contestants remaining, who will be Asia's First Biggest Loser??
